Even though you're using Waters Choice Pure Enzymes for Spas, sometimes we still have problems such as FOAMY SPA WATER. Typically, the problem is relatively simple to fix.
Just say NO to FOAM
So, you ask ... how DO you get rid of the foam so you can enjoy your hot tub again?
There are three common culprits of foamy water:
- Personal care products
- Problems with pH
- Low calcium hardness
Using products to decrease the foam are a very short term solution. We recommend you fix the underlying problem. For the meantime, just simply gather it up and throw the foam out.
Secondly, it may sound strange but we suggest NOT using detergent when washing your swim wear and make sure to RINSE your swim wear very well each time you use it.
Grab yourself some water testing strips that are NOT EXPIRED. Test your water and see where you're pH sits. Do you need pH Up or pH Down?
Adjust your spa water and check in a few hours. You should find your water clear again without foam when you run your jets.
Avoid Wearing This In Your Hot Tub
On the same note, avoid wearing t-shirts, regular clothing and even boxer shorts in your hot tub. These fabrics tend to hold even more detergent than swim wear fabric.
On another note, when refilling the water in your hot tub, we recommend using a Pre-Filter, where it will filter minerals including calcium.
